Business Strategy

Revisit or establish the business strategy to ensure it reflects the pulse of the business and appropriateness to the market environment. We also assist you in identifying your company “why” and how you add value, ensuring this aligns to your company culture. 

Deployment of business strategy.

Our preferred model of strategy deployment is Hoshin Kanri and this effectively aligns the business strategy to all staff levels in the organisation, cascading down goals and KPIs and reporting back up thru management via appropriate performance metrics.  This also ensures the right resources are in the right roles working on the right projects

Corporate Structuring

Functional Structure. FIrst we review what Functional Areas are needed for the business to deliver on its strategy and goals.  And then what functional roles are required under each Functional Area.  Next steps are to agree the Operational definitions for all the functional roles so skill sets can be agreed, and gap analysis performed against roles to current employees.

Organisational Structure. To create a working organisational structure for a business, our focus once the functional structure is agreed, is the people in the business. What are their skills, their career aspirations, their strengths? The skills gap analysis ensures we have the people on the bus, in the right seat on the bus, travelling in the right direction.  The executive team can also decide what functional roles could be merged or split, what roles could be filled by contractors or consultants and what roles could be put on hold. This sets the business up for successful delivery of the strategy.

Timing of access to funds is key to smooth management of the business. It is critical to get the correct funding package matched to your cash flow. The areas we focus on with you are;

Capital Raising or Debt: We specialise in identifying and securing the correct structure, source and cost of funds to suit the business needs. This can include positioning of the company to investors, establishment of an IM, assessment of available markets and debt funding through Banks.

Government: Our expertise in this space includes introduction of government funding from R&D, industry specific grants, export grants and commercialisation grants via state and federal programs.

Joint Venture Program: Choosing the right JV partner is key to success at sourcing joint venture funds. Finding an appropriate partner that sees clear benefit of access to your IP is a sound and secure funding strategy. 

Cost of Funds: Fund raising is an expensive activity. The cost of raising funds is measured in time, price, fees and dilution of capital. This must be balanced and measured against the anticipated returns from the business.
